Glen94 created this beautiful guitar construction video. It looks amazing - the only thing I'd change is to have it use guitar music instead of violin ;-)
My boss told me that we need a new promotional piece that showcases are high end 3d animations and gave me totally free range to make anything cool. This is the product of that.

Being both a guitarist and a huge fan of 3D animation, I must say that this is very cool. I love how the strings start from a curl around the tailpiece and grow up to the pegs. The frets laying down was fun to watch, too. Very nicely done, and an excellent concept too. I think you've fulfilled the requirements very well. Kudos.
Well, you took advertising to a new level. Excellent composition. I prefer the music you have provided. Your next assignment could be for the heavy metal/rocker. Instead of well timed, methodical pieces coming together, yup, hard rock it, flying bits and pieces to their genre of music, oh, which has me thinking of the rhythm and blues - I think I'd work on this music genre first - Muddy Waters, B.B. King. Enjoy your new found freedom!
Bolts are glueded heads only? It's shame there is things like that ...
Violin, cello ... for guitar commercial?
Wow. This is definitely one of the best blender animations ever! At least in my opinion.
Fantastic animation, but the incongruent background music is distracting. Anything with a guitar would have worked better.
Your piece - as lovely as it is - leaves the impression that you are selling guitars that are all flashy fittings glued to the wood. Screws of proportional length that turn into the wood would work much better.
You seem to have chosen the music and build the animation so it fits the speed of the music. Perhaps you should have used some guitar music (Ritchie Blackmore solo) and made each step follow the rythm.
So while I like your animation I don't think it is very good at advertising a guitar.
Anyone who plays a guitar knows the screws are not "glued" down. I realize you have recently learned this software and have accomplished great things with it. The criticism may have some validity in it but..... When you post anything to the world - you have to have skin like flint.
Really great work! Like the overall feeling in this animation. Nice.
