UI lack...
a open Tab could show a outgreyed pin for the possiblity to pin the Most used Tab ..
so nobody forgot this feature in blender.

Under what circumstances will this not work? I have tried release version of 2.74 as well as recent build AND a randomly chosen 2.71 and none respond in any way to shift-LMB.
