hmm you're on linux, but not thinking about an executable bit?
            chmod +x ./godot_x11.32_stableblah
            and there you go...

Anyways... it looks great! (tried android export and checked the pmscript, python like, not bad )
            hint :
for linux it creates a .godot dir in your home, to install the templates, you can download the export_templates rename to zip and copy the contents to ~/.godot/templates (i got an error while trying to install )

Now to create more bindings for underlying hardware ( android , iOS )
would be nice to have gps, accelerometer, camera, fingerprint sensor, bluetooth, etc accessible from godot

great blender integration, gonna play with it... (was already playing with blender for android, but this looks better
i'd say : integrate it in blender!, nice gsoc project anyone?

            groetjes,
            geronimoh!

    • Multi-Platform Editor:

Develop games using your favorite operating system:

Godot works on Windows, OSX and Linux.
Editor runs in 32 and 64 bits, in all platforms.
Small download (around 20mb), and you are ready to go.
Easy to compile yourself (no dependency hell).

    :)

It's funny. Despite me adopting the drooling beast that is Unreal Engine 4 and I've been enjoying it greatly for the past year now, I still keep these smaller engines like Godot around and still richly enjoy them a great deal.

There's something so irresistibly charming and wonderfully inviting about them that I can't quite describe well, and even though there's an 800-pound gorilla around called UE4, it makes me glad to see Godot (and other similar but different engines) still growing and staying around for people to enjoy the option.

I particularly like Godot because, in an UE4 and Unity world, it still manages to be unique to its own vision, and does it well. And now with these advanced 2D engine additions, it's one of the most unique game engines around. I don't think I've seen a few of these features elsewhere.

It invokes so much creativity in me to have all these unique game engines around, and it makes me reflect back to the days when we had to build these things from scratch! Fun times, but I'm glad we have engines where we can appreciate the architecture of a dedicated game engine and just focus on game design now!

    Anyways, thanks, Godot team!
