A simple and small project. Some things (like the grass) could be improved, but it had to be finished rather quickly :) Those boxy vehicles from AW are just so fun to draw/ model.

The original shapes and compositions with GI, individual grass blades, material weathering, and shadowed volumetric smoke.

Nice, i like the way the grass is done.
Perhaps you should try a "toy camera" effect on this, it think it would really finish it.
That is a bit wide angle, and very low diagfragma (things get quickly out of focus).
Sometimes the diafragma DOF effect is done based upon 2d height position of the image (like a blur from a central point outwards), also corners unsharp, lookup in google "toy camera effect", (could try post processing blur on zdeth (but that might not workout nice unsure. With the toy camera effect, normal outdoor photo's look like if they where plastic miniatures.
I love you so much for this! I friggin' love Advance Wars! One of my favorite games of all time! This makes me want a new Advance Wars game created in this 3D style.
