New Cycles GPU Benchmark by GarageFarm.NET

GarageFarm.NET once again took their 8x GeForce Titan setup for a spin on Cycles. This time, they used Reynante's 'Playtime' scene which contains a furry character to show their speed.

We are back with a new GPU benchmark. This time we teamed up with Reynante Martinez to see how his mesmerizing and intense scenes fare when rendered on our rig.

We decided to run a few tests on the 'Playtime' scene (http://www.reynantemartinez.com/playtime.html) as it happened to be our team's favorite pick. The results are pretty satisfying.

  • Xeon E5 24 cores CPU – 1h 29m
  • 1x Titan – 41m 15sec
  • 8x Titans – 4m 50sec

I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my “Playtime” scene with GarageFarm.NET, an awesome rendering farm service. And the results are mind-blowing!

In this particular benchmark, they tested my scene on 8x GeForce Titans (6 of which are Blacks), and it’s just crazy fast.

To anyone searching for a better render farm alternative for Blender, you should definitely check them out.
