Karlis Stigis used the Blender MultiView branch to create a 3D title scene for a movie.
Hello, I have written a short post about making stereoscopic 3D title for a new Latvian movie Rīga - 2041. This was a great opportunity to test the new MultiView branch of Blender.Although in Latvia, we have big cinemas with world class stereoscopic projectors, we unfortunately can’t really be proud of big cinema industry. 3D movie is something no one had done here before, at least locally, but a few brave people really wanted to try it, so the project “Rīga-2041” was born. Of course, if the movie is in 3D, title should be in 3D also.
I have experimented with stereoscopy before, but always had to place and adjust cameras manually, luckily Blender has a new “MultiView” branch in development by Dalai Felinto for exactly this purpose and this was the best moment for me to check it out. It worked great and is surprisingly stable, easy to use and set up.
