Weekend Contest: Throne

22

We're rendering thrones this weekend!
Henri Hebeisen, who won the #JeSuisCharlie contest, writes:

For this week-end contest, I was thinking about the theme 'Throne'.

Artists could create a throne, either a realistic one, a cartoon one, a throne from the future or a very ancient one...

Rules:

  • Post your work below (attach an image and a screenshot if you like).
  • Post only new work, not existing.
  • Vote for your winner by Monday.
  • Be sure you’re logged in to Disqus when voting, anonymous votes will be discarded!
  • The winner will get a post next week, and will get to pick next weekend’s contest theme. Have fun!

Image: well, I didn't have any thrones (after close to 8,000 posts, can you believe it?), I then thought I would put in a cat (because, well, internet) but couldn't find that either (god, this site sucks), so you'll have to make do with Aviad's rather nice Paper Castle.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. I do believe you don't have a throne... who would use a throne these days, when you can have a much more comfortable sleep on a sofa :P

  2. Uhm... i didn't save the compositing (just a little of color correction), sorry :P
Here is it again, our Throne of the Northern Peaks.
Would you mind deleting my previous post, bart? ;)
