Blender Effectors is a free motion graphics addon for Blender.
Patrick W. Crawford writes:
This is an addon project I started to develop at the SIGGRAPH blender booth in Vancouver 2014 to show how easy it is to develop scripts within blender. I wasn't expecting it to turn into an actual addon!
It is a motion-graphics addon inspired by some features I saw in Cinema4D. It turns faces or groups of objects into crowd-animatable (in location, rotation, and scale) entities controlled by a central or multiple armature. It's a simple addon but allows you to do some pretty cool effects quite easily.

Interesting work.
Thanks for your efforts to create this add-on and offer it free to the community. I often wonder what inspiration causes people like you to create these interesting effects for Blender. I hope to see more of your works in the future.
Thank-you so much for the people who have given their regards here and elsewhere, i am glad it will be of use to some of you! And I think what drives people the most is just those spontaneous moments of "oh wouldn't it be cool to do this thing I was just trying to do in a better way"? Tends to be purpose driven
Awesome plugin. I just cant get the polygons to listen to my transforms in pose mode. The shape stays the same. I might be missing a button somewhere.
Figured it out. Autorun python scripts in preferences:)
Awesome tool b.t.w.:)
This is brilliant, thank you. Just what I was looking for.
You should meet Jacques Luke !
I turned on autorun python scripts but my parts don't move still :(
