Chocofur introduces us to Corona renderer, which is currently available as a free alpha test. The tutorial covers everything from background to installation, setting up your materials and the actual rendering process.
Hello, Blenderheads! Some of you may know Corona Renderer already - it's available for Blender in Standalone version. I've decided to give it a try during one weekend and ended up writing the entire tutorial on how to integrate it with Blender and start using after 1 or 2 days of learning! You can find the tutorial here.
What's more - I'm also sharing all the scene files for free download if anyone is interested in looking up my settings. You can find them here.
Happy Blending!

OK, now it's time for rest of blender+cycles tutorial ;)
Does Corona work with Cycles and the GPU?
Corona is a render engine like Cycles. I.e. they cannot work together, they're doing the same job in the same sense that Blender Internal and Cycles don't work together.
According to their website, Corona is only CPU based with no plans of making a GPU version.
Great, thanks for the clarification. Has anyone determined if Corona is faster at rendering than Blender Cycles on CPU?
Thanks for the tutorial on Corona. I've been wanting to try it out but didn't want to leave my Cycles comfort zone. LOL.
try to install corona, but it doesn't work (fatal exception after switch to corona render in Blender)
@ANDREAS WELZIEN here is a better tutorial about installing corona for blender : http://www.todaytuts.com/install-corona-blender/
