The Blender Bug-o-meter

5

Sergey Sharybin and Martijn Berger presented this awesome real-time Blender bug-o-meter during the Blender Conference.
Martijn writes:

It is a 11x11x11 cm acrylic laser cut box. containing a Raspberry Pi and a custom nixie driver designed by Sergey. It started out as a joke but we decided to make it real. The print (details here) is custom made (we still have some and will sell / provide at cost to interested parties). The acrylic was designed in Blender and laser cut at Laserbeest in Delft out of 5mm clear acrylic. The digits are IN12-a nixie tubes from the former USSR.

Ton adds:

The meter currently rotates around in the studio, on the desk of whom has bug fix duties that day. Currently that is: Monday for Campbell, Tuesday for Sergey,Wednesday for Lukas and Thursday for Antony.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
