There's a certain raw artistic element to handle all of the shading manually. Definitely a low poly job at a little over 2 Suzannes of polys! I like it!
I agree. It's nice to be able to shade by hand instead of tweaking a multi-slider shader machine (for this type of work). The new paint tools are getting better!
