As far as I know, this is the first time there's a Blender workshop in Cuba! Luciano Muñoz (I just posted his reel last week) is hosting a 3-week course at the EICTV institute.

Hey Guys,
I wanted to know if you could post about the course i'm gonna teach in CUBA at EICTV one of the most important film academies in latin america, the course is in spanish though (unless enough english speakers enroll), it's a 3 week fulltime course, where I'lll give lectures and have students work on their own project (in small teams) to get the most closeness to studio production techniques and experience, it's meant for beginners or migrators to blender, my aim is to bring students to a medium level and hopefully advanced level of understanding 3D taking them through the whole process of creating a short animated piece.
The course as i said is 3 weeks, which is about 120hrs 8 hours a day of lectures and practice mixed up, in a great creative environment in beautiful cuba, where the students would stay in dorms, hang out with other film students from all around the world. The cost of the course is €1400 includes 3 meals a day during the whole stay, housing in the school dorms, and of course tuition.

Thanks for sharing bart!
Wonderful!! Years ago I had some contact by internet with Ernesto Padrón, which directed the long footage Meñique, a nice CG cuban movie, actually the first one in the country. But I don't know if he used Blender.

I believe they did not, they used 3Ds Max, and that's one of my ideas for bringing blender to Cuba!
hi, looch! This course is an excellent initiative!! Nowadays Blender can do everything we see in Meñique. Greetings!
