I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the
Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at
n8n.
How did you do the 3d scan?
I took a bunch of pictures with my iPhone and used Autodesk 123DCatch to process them. After that all I did was crop the mesh.
That’s cool, I’ve been playing with photogrammetry using visualSFM and meshlab recently. But, it takes a pretty beefy processor since all of the computations are done locally.
Turning on the wireframe, this mesh was apparently done with dynamic topology in sculpt mode?
