I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the
Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at
n8n.
That’s… really good. Living in Siberia I see such branches, covered with a bit melted snow, from time to time, and it’s wonderfully realistic.
The snow covored branch is beautiful.
I have seen the rock before, how come you didn’t use the render with the foot?
Snow is great.
both the snow and the moss look great, as does the branch, but something bothers me about the rock itself… non the less, a very good job!
Really great image Nika
Above all.. really beautiful.
Indeed, not only realistic, but establishes a VERY strong mood of the winter morning.
I almost can smell the cold air and this experience is almost non visual.
Question: do you have a blog so I can bookmark it and follow your works?
Thanks everyone for the warm comments. Gleb, no, i don’t have a blog, but i always post my works on blenderartists, and on some portfolio sites e.g Artstation or CG society portfolios.
Okay, will be tracking it there!
