Suzanne Awards 2014 open for submissions and voting

You can now submit your best animation work for the Suzanne Awards festival. There aren’t many entries available yet, but you can already vote for them (which I think is a bit odd).

Ever since the second Blender Conference in 2003, the Suzanne Awards are given to artists that use Blender to realize outstanding artwork.The nominations will be screened during the Animation Festival on Friday, the first evening of the Conference. Conference attendees will vote, and the winners will be announced at the Suzanne Awards ceremony on Saturday evening.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.
