I started out in the 3D world with Maya, but due to a job change, I no longer had any 3D programs (that I could afford) at my fingertips. I discovered Blender, and now I am totally hooked. This is my tribute to Blender, a great program and community! I modeled and animated this a couple of years ago with Blender 2.62 using the Blender Render Engine. Editing was done in After Effects. The music is from Erik Satie's Gymnopédies for piano - No 2, Lent et triste.

instead of making a separate mobile version of blender, what blender could do is create a GUI that has a tablet view similar to that of krita and art rage, when krita or artrage is used on a mobile device may that be a tablet or something similar, then blenders GUI would change in a similar way, adapting to the device or screen size.
the difficulty is making a good tablet layout that works especially when we haven't exactly made a killer desktop layout, or should I say especially when they are still improving the desktop layout I don't think that they are going to be in a position where they can cr4eate a killer tablet layout.
But a mobile version in one way or another would be awesome.
I think you're missing the point of this post..
He did, and he forgets that mobile devices are not really great in terms of CPU or GPU.
They are low end devices, really not practical for creating 3d work, and as for playing 3d stuff there are already webviewers that work with blend files, write a mobile app around a web page, no need to port blender to a mobile phone / tablet.
Also the desktop layout isnt that terrible either, sure many people have difefrent taste, but with all 3d apps its more like knowing your shortcuts, and adding your own stuf if needed.
Well done, good combination with the music.
Very nice and peaceful tribute to Blender.
And a perfect Blender Conference' interlude while we wait for the next speaker :-)
Nice mix of visuals & music. I enjoy the serenity.
