A new Blender materials library is now available, and it includes an add-on (alpha version still) for easy access. Pretty cool!

I'm happy to present you my project Blendermada - http://blendermada.com. Goals of this project are to make a good online materials database for most popular render engines for Blender and to extend this database with add-on, which can work with database directly from Blender.
For users:
Blendermada add-on still is alpha version and works only with Cycles, but it works properly and you can use it. All materials in library are published under CC-0 license and you can use it as you want.
For artists:
Database is growing, but not so fast as I (and maybe you) wish. And if you can help me, I'll be happy. Especially if you can work with another engines.
For developers:
Client and server are published on GitHub. If you find bug or issue, or just want to join development process, you can find it there.

The URL to visit seems to just go to a Google search ... could it be suppose to link to http://blendermada.com/ ?
Otherwise, this is pretty awesome and I CAN'T WAIT to give it a try!
Ah yes :) Fixed!
Some default materials built into Blender are what is needed. A strange omission at the moment..
This was missing in Blender for a long time, thanks.
I hope that some difficult ones get on your site too; a few of the OSL shaders etc, i hope it gets populair
Very nice!
Great initiative ;)
Just tested it. It is great! How many people work on updating the materials? Why don't you take some of the materials that exist at Blendswap?
Until this publication I worked all by myself. But now several artists join me and database start to grow faster. Some of them already from blendswap. I didn't want to publish blendswap works without author agreement, and i haven't get agreement yet.
Oh that's pretty good. I'll wait for what comes next.
thanks Sergey for making this available! As has already been said, this is a much needed feature in Blender.
Truly wonderful addition to the Blender ecosystem. Nice job, Sergey. I hope this database gets tricked out to the max. Sorely needed. Again, wonderful addition.
