Gleb Alexandrov has started a series of tutorials on game level texturing. The first part focuses on preparing the geometry of your model.
What is it about?
We'll discover how to texture the scene using what can be called 'megatexture' approach. One model, 1 big texture, that's all!Rather unconventional technique (parts of the model can't be reused), but still has its pros. Like artistic freedom and great performance - only 1 drawcall in Unity.
So, in this tutorials we'll discover how to:
- Block out the model
- Optimize it
- Unwrap everything into 1 UV map
- Paint and project the texture
- Clone details from 2-nd UV map
- Bake it
- Enjoy the result and start making games (this is optional)

sorry for my english
For shure :) Juste bake all the scene, textures, ao etc... and import model textured into unity, or just leave it in blender and switch to the blender game render engine !
Hey Gleb Your Tutorials are on The Blender cookie Site If your are doing tutorials in unity cant you post them to the unity cookie site?
Awesome, looking forward to the next tutorials in this series. Thanks Gleb!

It's ok , dude . Everything will be fine
Fantastic, thank you!
this is not a game level. this is a small room, nearly unusable in game dev
That's not megatexturing, its just an atlas for a scene.

English please. I've asked you several times already!
Glebushka, you artist, great
Great work, can't wait for the next video, As my texturing skills are weak! With regards to selecting every other edgeloop here's a slightly less labour intensive way of doing it...
