Weekend Contest: Sixth Sense

34

Darkfire9825 won last weekend's contest with his image 'From the cold into the warmth'. He picked our next theme, and also: for the first time we have a sponsor for the weekend contest! \o/

I've decided that next weekends theme should be sixth sense. This could be an evolved human with antennae, a guy levitating... Well, that's not up to me!

And for the first time since I started the weekend contest here on BlenderNation, we have a prize: RenderStreet are giving away a one month silver membership ($50 value) and $50 in render credits to the winner! Thanks guys!!

Well, I guess you all know the drill by now: Post your work below (attach an image and a screenshot if you like), and vote for your winner. The winner will get a post next week, and will get to pick next weekend’s contest theme. Have fun!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. I...see...dead people. Walking around like normal people. They don't know they're dead... Haley Joel Osment

In this image I tried to have 2 different sides, The ghost's side and the boy's side. I was able to mask out them separately then color correct as needed. I am curious if the two characters look like they are showing emotion, let me know! and Enjoy :)

    Hey all!
So, this weekend I have a sort of fan art for you. I call it "The REAL Avatar."
This stemmed from my most recent attempt at creating the "South Park" paper cut-out style.
One version is without edges, the other is with edges, to make it more true to the actual show.
Aang, the background, and the texturing for both were done in Blender. The logo was painted over it in- you guessed it- paint.
    Comments and critiques welcome! Enjoy!

  4. When I heard this theme I thought of dogs knowing when something unusual is going to happen like you giving them away. So here is a ad from the DOGGY full color magazine.

  5. I want to apologize to everyone for having posted many copies of my work, I did not come out here as published and I could not even register if realized, the internet in my country is a very bad service especially at midnight, I hope you can understand
