Weekend Contest Winner: From the cold into the warmth

9

Sometimes a theme that's more abstract works great for these contests. This weekend the theme 'Change' resulted in entries where the old Blender logo changed into the new one, coins (small change), changing seasons and more!

Darkfire9825 was the most popular entry with his image where someone walks from an icy room into a bright, warm place.

Congratulations Darkfire9825! You’ll also get to pick the topic for next weekend contest! Please email me at bart @ this site and let me know your choice.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

      • Ethan Hansen on

Because no other contest winners have had that many guest votes. Commenters can only vote as guests if they have a direct Disqus link (which people use to upvote themselves or ask others to upvote for them). I checked back into other contests and all the rest have been voted up by actual people (with only 1 or 2 guests).

        • Fascinating! I have informed Bart about that but he doesn't seem to give a crap...
The only time he gave a crap was at one of the contests when I was disqualified because of like 50 guests votes... It is actually quite easy, you know, you just need a cycling IP address :)
