Weekend Contest: Zombie pinups

32

We're not done with the nightmarish themes - after winning last weekend's contest, Onnevan picked "Zombie pinups". Well, zombies with a twist I guess ;-)

Hi Bart! As the winner of the last weekend contest, my choice for the new topic is "Zombie pinups" I hope it will be a funny and bizarre-sexy theme!

Post your work below (attach an image and a screenshot if you like), and vote for your winner. The winner will get a post on monday, and will get to pick next weekend’s contest theme. Have fun!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Yet another interesting theme! Very creepy, I played around with volumetrics and lighting and I feel like it turned our pretty decent, Comments and critics appreciated! Enjoy!

Upon reading the title of this contest, I immediately thought of this idea. Somebody has been playing way too much Minecraft.

Don't know if this makes me "that guy" or not (Artist takes it literally, haha)... but here's my entry, "Zombie Pinned up." Comments and critiques appreciated! Enjoy! :)

  4. Looked up some pin up girls as reference. Decided to make a headless zombie wearing an apron in a grave yard. spent about two days on overall work.

  5. Hi! This is my first time sharing my Blender work in a CG community. Was working on a female body for another personal project and decided to use it for this. So I spent this weekend focusing on modeling the face (including the skull). I am using blender for one and a half year, mainly for my PhD research (in Biological Sciences). Didn't dedicate much time to creating textures and hair.

  6. Hi!! This is my zombie pin up doll. Obviously, it has gone through photoshop ... Hope you like it, or not .... ;)

I was inspired by the Call of Duty load screen. Its called "Memories left from an Apocalypse". Hope you enjoy!

  8. The sexy female form. Not an easy thing to capture well. Especially in pin-up style. Even when decayed as a zombie. I'm not surprised by the low turn-out on this weekend's contest theme.

It's a bit late here, but hey, here's one of my favorite reference spots that deals with this subject, in case anyone is interested:

I wish I had time to enter this weekend myself, but you know how life goes.

  9. I'm just wondering, is there going tobe a weekend contest this weekend since no winner has been announced to pick the theme? I love the weekend contests and I did not know where to ask the question.
