Tutorial - Hand Painted Textures in Blender

11

Xrg is posting some very in-depth painting tutorials. In this one he paints a cartoonish column. He starts off with pointing out some room for improvement in the paint tools, so if you're working on these be sure to check out the first part!

This is a video tutorial demonstrating some of the upcoming texture paint features in Blender as well as my workflow for using them.

OK, I have to know, at 1:10, you pressed a key to change modes and had a whole wheel of modes to select from in the viewport. HOW? did you do that? Thanks. I'm running 2.7.

    • That is the pie menu addon by LiquidApe. Just Google "Blender Pie Menu addon" and you should be able to find it.

thank you. I like that one. Also, do you have a link to your work on blender artists? I have heard about your work before and am curious to see it. Great tut, by the way.

BTW any chance you could do a tutorial on projection painting in Blender? You have answered a lot of questions I've had for years about the interface, and I think you'd do well with that one (at least it would help me out.)

        Thanks,
        Miguel
