7

Gustav Nilsson presents a new training DVD that teaches you everything about drivers and automated animation. His website also contains a series of free introduction tutorials on shape keys, modifiers, armatures, constraints and drivers.

A new training DVD for Blender 2.7 has just been announced. It sets out to teach you what drivers are and all the possibilities they give you. The tutorials shows you how to create objects you can easily adapt for any situation, and animate, using simple controls.

The DVD is available for a special pre-order price. When you pre-order, you get access to the videos as they are released.

So if you think drivers are a little scary, or just want to explore their possibilities, this is a great chance to get familiar with them!

Several tutorials from the DVD are free on the website so be sure to check it out.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Wow! This looks so cool. I have tried to create procedural animations in blender but it's was a bit too complicated and the tutorial for doing it are scattered. I'm so pre-ordering this.
