Le Spark - Short Animation in Blender

0

Two fireflies on a date find themselves fighting more than just their feelings.

Nathaniel Winckler writes:

6 months and 4 days, 28,000 images, 702GB of files, terabytes of data transfer, and days of lost sleep later, Le Spark is officially finished!

Le Spark is our 4th and biggest film to date. From the beginning, we pushed ourselves to include more detail in the texturing and animation. Countless hours were spent fine tuning everything so that it all fit together perfectly in compositing, which was done in Blender and After Effects. All images were rendered in Cycles (with the exception of fire which was rendered in Blender Internal).

Our hard work paid off, because Le Spark won 4 awards at its premiere at Highbridge Film Festival: Best Super Short, Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing, and Best Visual Effects.
