Off-topic here, is it just me, or is this website's new layout utterly confusing? I'm lost in this place...
I have to agree, the text on the posts are too greyed out, title text pops too much, and titles are everywhere, kinda like ads. And sorry for being off topic.
I agree I find the new layout a little bit odd because I am use to scrolling down to see daily news but this takes a little longer to process, On the more relevant note this will really help for city modeling (if I can ever get the OpenStreetMap Website to export sucessfuly)
Hey guys, please stay on-topic and discuss this in the right place;

Aaaawesome!
Voov is part of the 3D part of the OSM community, that makes some real nice progress :)

Just tried it out, works as advertised, nice and fast, thank you!
How about adding streets to it? I believe OSM streets are just lines, so the addon would need a "street width" setting, and would give the street-lines this width.
This is a GOD SEND!!! I've been working with the trial version of CityEngine for years just to get .obj's of building and street footprints into Blender. Now they have to find a way to import the streets as well and we'll have real progress in possibly having a robust "city builder" add-on for Blender.
Yes, I'll add support for roads and paths in the coming days. I am going to import them as a sequence of edges without any width
Import of roads and paths is supported now via the "Import roads and paths" checkbox. Please download the new version of the addon, reinstall it and try it again.
i tried installing addon as said avobe . i faced this problem . plz help
Try to install the plugins with the same name
where do i install? its not in the addon list anymore
The addon is available at https://gumroad.com/l/blender-osm Please follow the installation instructions.
Oops i got a warning message: cycles " missing script files", what to do?
Has there been any further work on importing the roads from Openstreetmap with the width and texture instead of a single line? I have tried importing the .obj output from OSM2WORLD but it produces broken buildings in Blender. The roads are great though.
Also, the buildings that are imported from OSM I think have height in the file entities and I wonder if that tag could be used in the import to produce a building with correct height?
Ok so how an I suppose to get this gobbledygook into blender? I click the link at the site and it is a page of python script. What am I suppose to do with that?

Ok: save it to a Python file (*.py), and then follow these steps:
http://www.wikihow.com/Add-an-Addon-in-Blender
The addon has been rewritten from scratch to support 3D elements of OpenStreetMap. There are paid (2.85$) and free (2D only) versions. For details see here:
https://github.com/vvoovv/blender-osm#openstreetmap-importer-for-blender
i am unable to import osm file in blender 2.78. I have also searched in preferences too, Any idea?
If you bought the addon, please send a message with as much details as possible to the address [email protected] In your message also please inform the e-mail address you provided for the purchase.
I having an issue, my osm option does not show up in the import selection any ideas??
The addon GUI has been changed. It's located on the osm tab of the left side panel (also known as Tool shelf) of the Blender 3D View as described in the documentation https://github.com/vvoovv/blender-osm/wiki/Documentation#installation
