Octane Render now Offers Free Student Licenses

Octane now offers student licenses for their older version 1.20.
Octane Render standalone 1.20 (not 1.5, the most current) is free for students and so are its plugins for Blender, Maya, 3dsMax. If you have an academic email address, pick yours up for free today!

Only .edu emails are allowed. No love for people outside the USA.
Hmmm that’s not good. I’ll reach out to them and see if there’s an option for foreign students.
That would be nice. I have a full license for Octane but I would love to try out the interated plugin without buying it.
No – it isnt possible. In the past I sent a email to them to ask this question and it wasnt possible
I got in touch with them and they told me that it wasn’t possible at the moment, though they also said that they would be changing how the student license service works in the near future to schools without a .edu email
I talked to the Octane team, there are trying to add support for all non-american students. my university is already on the list, the told me to be patient.
How about high school students?
I received the following response from Octane:
The OctaneRender Team.
Wow, almost the exact same email I got.
Though in my case they didn’t tell me that my school was invalid even though it is a high school, next year I can have it :)
Too bad :/ Hope some others can enjoy it.
