It's time for a history lesson with this video by Lorenzo Bruni Pirani.

This video has been made for the exhibition "In lode della Mesola", at the Este Castle of Mesola (Ferrara - Italy).
It has been designed with both adults and children in mind and it tells the history of the "Castello di Mesola", from the beginning of the 15th Century until now.

  • The video has been entirely made with Blender.
  • The images has been edited with Photoshop.
  • The audio has been edited with Audacity.

      Sono contento di aver utilizzato Blender per tutto il processo, dal 3d al montaggio... ho avuto qualche problema con i sottotitoli, ma è stata una grande soddisfazione!
      Il risultato è piaciuto anche agli organizzatori della mostra e vorrei utilizzare questo esempio per sfatare i pregiudizi per cui Blender non sarebbe un programma adatto ad un uso professionale...

          I'm so glad I used Blender for the entire process, from the 3d modeling to the video editing.
          It has been difficult to generate the subtitles, but with a little of python and some color-effect-strips in the VSE it is has been possible to automate the process.
          I would use this video as an example to dispel the prejudices that Blender is not a program suitable for professional use.
