Varanda is working on a Caminandes game – Gaminandes! So far, he has released versions for Blackberry and Android. The game contains proper credits for the Caminandes team and also contains a support message for the Gooseberry project.

Varanda writes:

Hello All,

I created a small game for Smartphone inspired by the amazing “Caminandes: Gran Dillama”. Due many limitations for mobile platforms I had to simplify a lot the graphics.

All 3D work was done in Blender, 2D in Gimp. The game engine is gameplay3d.org

I improved an existing Blender Gameplay’s scene viewer addon and the addon is available here. I recommend gameplay3g for Blender game developers if targeting Smartphones.

Gaminandes is now available for BlackBerry 10 devices in 2 versions: Sponsored (free) and paid ($1.99).
Next week it will be available for Android if I solve some non-tech issues. Windows port in on the way as well.
