I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

this is very good!!! thanks for all developers!!! I will use it in gamedev
EXCELLENT! Great tutorial on using the cycles engine. This is Exactly what I was looking for help! TYSM!!!
Great to see this amount of positive attention to this feature. Bleeding is already implemented, you need a new build for that though.
And there is an addon (written by an eager tester, not even by myself) that simplify testing for those not keen of python ;) You can get it here: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?326534-Cycles-baking-is-here&p=2576795&viewfull=1#post2576795
Also I'm currently working on active to selected baking by the way, a bit tricky but I'm almost there.
What about a Windows 32bit build with Cycles baking? will it be possible? unfortunately I don't have 64bit and the builds on GraphicAll will not work on my PC. :(
Yep! This pushes Blender fast forward!! Great
Man, I get a strong feeling that 2014's going to be a very powerful year in Blender development.
Awesome dfelinto, i have tried it and it works great expect the "Margin Supported" with the Addon. I did a try, i wanted to have the Mirror's Edge kind of look for so long now it works with 0 settings to have a nice result! https://twitter.com/Linko_3D/status/434733995889139712/photo/1
The awesome thing is that you can tweak the lighting with Cycles which is real time then bake when you're done, it's very easy to use. And this is the first free baking engine almost unbiased! Can't wait for the performances optimizations and the support of the GPU but you have already made the most impressive feature of Blender since the release of Cycles 2014 will be a great year.
woow!!! This is extremely useful, thanks for this awesome tool,I'm sure it will fit perfect in everybody's game pipeline!
