I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Thanks for the overview! I really like the tabs in the MCE! I was just today wondering when there would be tabs in the MCE. When I'm working on tracking a shot, I often find myself going back and forth between adding a new tracker and solving again, which is really a bad habit. The tabbed interface will help me to not do that anymore!

Also, I really like the walk mode of the camera!

  2. Cool features, but the special key feature in the walk navigation you are talking about at 13:35 is working a little different in my Blender version (release 2.69.10 as well). When I press the middle mouse button it's not jumping anywhere but the desktop - because it just exits Blender. Without warning or saving... a special key I could live without ;-)

    • This was a bug introduced after the feature was integrated in 'master', which was fixed already. MMB (or space) is the teleport functionality. Quite handy for quickly moving around the terrain.
