Olivier Amrein worked on an enchanting video about watch mechanics and architecture.
Olivier writes:
RGBprod studio just finished a project for swiss watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin called “A journey through Architecture and Openworked Creations”
Openworked technique known in french as “skeleton” , is the art of opening the watch movement so that one can see through it.
We had to create 3 different 3D universes, each inspired by one of the watch models. Elements of inspiration include shapes, curves and the gravure patterns. You can find some technical details as well as behind the scenes screenshots on my blog.

That was absolutely beautiful! I could watch it over and over. Congratulations on a wonderful job
...a must agree...from Switzerland!
WOW what an amazing zoom, that first shot; so much depth suddenly.
for the piramyd final to that open round room, i think i would have put cam to the ceiling get some stars in and then fade to the watch, but all well done.
Actually we had something similar on one of our first animatics... but client decided differently :) have a look here
