Designing a Breathalizer Ad and in Blender and After Effects
DesignCourse.com features an extensive tutorial (they call it a ‘Mega Tutorial’ ;-) on creating a commercial using Blender and After Effects.
DesignCourse writes:Learn how to design, 3d model and render a fictional product, “iPhone Breathalyzer.” We’ll cover 3D design, 2D animation and web design using Blender 3D and After Effects.
Part 1 – iPhone Breathalyzer – Blender
“Part 1 of the iPhone Breathalyzer mega tutorial! We’ll model the actual breathalyzer in Blender. Note: The texture at the end of this tutorial is not the final texture. ;)”
Access the course files for part 1 here.
Part 2 – iPhone Breathalyzer – Rendering & GUI Design
“We’ll make some adjustments to the textures, create a few renders, and then design a GUI for the breathalyzer in Photoshop.”
Part 3 – iPhone Breathalyzer – UI Animation in After Effects
“In this video, we’ll take our few renders, along with our UI created in the previous video and animate it in After Effects.”

I didn’t watch the tutorial. But I can say that for this result several days of work and 3 programs are too much. This is beginner stuff. There is nothing special in it.. ( Also not a good beginner resource I think.. )
If you didn’t watch the tutorial, what on Earth makes you think you’re qualified to pass judgement as to its level or suitability?
Anyway, thanks for the tutorial – it’s nice to send a project that goes from end-to-end!
