Blender Art in Parisian Subway Station

Remember the Blender art of the cover of the BioEssays science magazine? Hua Wong's image is one of the scientific images now on display on the wall of the subway station of Montparnasse-Bienvenüe in Paris.

If you live in Paris and pass through this station, be sure to check it out and leave images of it in the comments below :)

Hua writes:

The french CNRS is currently displaying a frieze in the station Montparnasse-Bienvenüe, one of the busiest in Paris. Its theme is "The World in Equation".

The other images on the frieze have been provided by other labs all around France.

They contacted my former PhD advisor for images that shows examples of stunning scientific visualization and he sent the picture that was used for the cover of Bioessays that featured on Blendernation in 2009.

This one is 100% Blender made.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
