Testing a new mobile theme
Hey everyone! I’ve quietly been testing a new mobile theme for BlenderNation this week. It fully supports Disqus comments as well, so it really is a full-featured version of BlenderNation. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Looks really nice, but didn’t load up on Opera on my Android…though it loaded perfectly on the default browser
I added the Opera Mobile user agent, could you check again? (You may need to reload a few times).

By the way, does anyone have issues with the top dark bar expanding to 80% of the screen? I have it intermittently on my iPhone 5.
Since I only look on my iPod I did notice :). I like it but every time I have to reload discus. No exceptions, it has problems the first time then loads in a couple seconds when I hit reload.
I’m not sure I understand exactly what’s happening here. Also, which iOS version do you use? On iPhone/iOS7 Disqus loads fine.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you I thought I posted but it doesn’t seem to be here. I’ve got an iPod touch 4th gen with iOS 6.0.1. What had been happening was I would load the page. Everything would load fine except for discus which would load unless I hit the reload discus button. It seems to be working ok right now. Dunno if its my Internet which is 6mbps. I actually noticed something else, when you hold down to use the magnifying glass to get to a specific letter it deselects the message so you have to tap it again in order to edit. I’m also having a slight problem with lag as I type. Again might be my Internet. Hmm, something else too, the iPod has the loading symbol at the top and everything keeps blinking like its still loading but I’ve had the page open for like three minutes. It’s like it’s stuck loading something which is causing the lag. As I scroll through the post it is continually reloading everything. Very weird I have no other tabs open either.

Significantly better and loads faster. It still glitches a little when there are more then about ten comments and sometimes the embedded video doesn’t load. I still can’t use the magnifying glass to edit my comment.
I can confirm that there’s some editing weirdness, I’ll ask the designer to look i to it.
Doing fine under internet explorer 10 from Windows phone 8. It’s fast and looks Nice.
When the top bar is developed, it cant be reduced and then it masks the top of the page.

The right “menu” button will develop the menu, but won’t reduce it. Although the “search” button can develop and reduce the search bar.
I know you have been testing because I have been having some pretty bad bugs. It has fixed up a bit but to be honest, I wish I could use the normal website but it won’t allow me. I also can’t open a new tab. When you hold down a link – it pops open options which one is new tab. Unfortunately, everytime I hold it takes me to the link anyway so I’m stuck backtracking and trying to reload old news posts.
Like I said, I would love to just use the original website but when I click it … it does nothing! I’m using Galaxy S2 and firefox.
Hmm indeed, you can’t open links in new tabs on iPhone either. Must be some kind of Javascript thing. I’ll see what I can do.

It works for me, links properly open in new tabs. (WP8 IE10)
I’ve tried that button but it just reloads the page as the mobile version … :(

Ah I thought you were joking. There’s no specific link – the site will detect your browser’s ‘User Agent’, and if it’s a mobile browser it’ll use the mobile theme.
Ok, but it doesn’t work on android 2.3 and Opera mini. With stock browser is fine, but I have to reload it, because for the first time I get white screen.
Does not work on Firefox for android 4. I don’t see anything. The page is blank.

I had the same problem using the adress “fr.blendernation.com”, then tried to access the website via http://www.blendernation.com and it works. After that it works via fr.blendernation.com too
You shouldn’t use ‘fr.blendernation.com’ anymore. If you want translated content, check out the Google translate widget at the bottom of the page :)
What happens if you disable AdBlock? (That’s a great idea on BlenderNation anyway as that’s my only source of revenue – no income = no more BlenderNation ;-)
