Ithai Levi created Fly 'n Write using only open source tools.
Ithai says:
I just released Fly 'n' Write for the iPhone. I developed Fly 'n' Write using the open-source game engine GamePlay and used Blender exclusively to generate my 3D assets and marketing material.
While there's nothing new in using Blender for game development, the potential with GamePlay, a free and truly cross-platform game engine, is big.
I hope the community will pick up on this to help indie game developers who are looking for free and open-source solutions.

Is there an Android version?
Because then you can build it with open-source-based tools for an open-source-based OS, and complete the trifecta.
Actually, GamePlay makes it extremely easy to develop to all three mobile platforms: iOS, Android and BlackBerry. But unfortunately, I don't have access to any Android or BB devices for development.
