Video: RUNAVS – a visual and metaphysical poem

RUNAVS tries to be a visual and metaphysical poem, a five minute dialog between DJ Swet’s sound work and Javier Galán Rico’s mind landscape that decomposes between beats and subtle rhythm changes.
The short film was produced in 2013 between June and September using experimental production processes; RUNAVS evolves without storyboard or script, allowing sound and image work together to finally suggest and evoke a story.
The entirely video was crafted in Blender and rendered in YafaRay seeking for a Lo-FI style in order to create a noire atmosphere.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). Wow, that looks like a lot of work. Was it a personal project or for some kind of film festival? Looks great, very interesting visuals and compositions.
