I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Amazing amount of detail. Looks awesome and it does tell a story which I like.
For those who don't know Nicolò Zubbini, he did the dome in Tears of Steel.
He also has a lot of information on his website including tutorials and tips, check it out.

  2. Yes, amazing!
Reminds me some great painting (especially the smaller image version). The mood is "visible" here. And it's a best shot for any piece of art.

  3. This is excellent. Strangely, it looks photorealistic in the foreground, yet looks painterly in the background. Fantastic job.

  4. This is really stunning! Indeed the composition of the background looks artificial but overall integrates very weel into the scene. I'll check out the website. Maybe I can find some development steps (I always love to see that :))
