Awesome use of Blender and on-demand printing by Wayne Dixon!

Wayne writes:

I recently finished a personal project where I used blender in the creation of a custom made flip book, the purpose of which is clear by the end of the video.

He continues:

To answer some of the technical questions (about the blender parts), this is a short description of the character:  The body is basically a sphere with an Alpha 0 material and the body parts are all curve objects. This was then rigged so I could animate the characters and used freestyle to render it as a line drawing. Every frame (animated on 2's) was then printed on the right page of a note book so it can be flipped.

Software:

  • Blender
  • Inkscape

Music:

  • Elbow - Scattered Black and Whites

Hope you enjoy.

  1. Great Video and congratulations!
Aside from that I always think of 3D-Printing first is I read the words "Blender" and "printing" in the same sentence haha
How about custom engagement-rings with the birds on it? ;)

  2. Well well what can I said ? never give something like this to an American Girlfriend, she might end up thinking that you are retarded, ha ha ha, honestly I was expecting something truly 3D, girls do not like childish stuff man, they like rough guys with romantic touch and intelligent, did she really say yes ? May be she wrote: Y.E.S ? = Yes Estupid Story ?...mmmmmmm
