The BlenderArtists forums were hacked some time this weekend and people reported being redirected to another site when they tried to access them. The site is now down for maintenance.
Update sept 10: BlenderArtists is back in service!
A message on the homepage now says:
09/08 - 0100 - Hey there, we are currently working on a redirect bug/hack on the site. Users were experiencing if they clicked on any Search Engine results related to BA, it would redirect them to a different site. This was happening due to a 301 redirect inserted onto the site. Though we ran out of coffee for the evening and must sleep. We have a couple e-mails out to folks to help us clean it up, and will be back at it early tomorrow morning!
Be sure to keep an eye out on BA's Facebook page for updates, or here as we have them. Appreciate the patience!
UPDATE: 09/09 - 0700,and just getting started again. We kept the site in maintenance mode last night just to be safe while Rackspace and Vbulletin support helped us scan the entire site for any additional malware
Today we will be working to clean those found files out, make sure they didn't leave any siblings behind and re-open the site if all is well.
In the mean time you are welcome to chat it up on our Facebook Page or view our sister site for tasty Blender Education.

How can I prevent an attack of that kind on any site I would make if I were to become a full time admin?
Yesterday I had visited the site all day and I had no problem. I do not understand much about it, but perhaps the site was not hacked and the problem with some users have been because of something else.
This is why we can't have nice things! >:(

Apache/2.2 Server at http://www.blenderartists.org Port 80
In other words, things are getting better and better... and I'm starting to feel withdrawal symptoms. ;)
it seems restored now... :-)
Thanks!
I still get the 404 Error with the deeply nested URL when I try to access BA directly through http://www.blenderartists.org but it works with http://www.blenderartists.org/forum/forum.php
Let's say there are still some nails sticking out which need to meet their hammer. ;)
At the .php link I now get a front page defaced by hackers purportedly supporting the Assad regime.
Its hacked again this time by the syrian army (or some other geek)
