I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Nice to see Blender courses popping up.

Bart, did you put me in your blacklist? In the last few months I've sent 2 or 3 messages to Blendernation and after that an e-mail directly to you on May 26th and I didn't have any kind of feedback... one was about a Blender workshop that was going to happen in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, another was about a SlotMachine we made in BGE for drawing prizes in the Blender PT 2013 Conference we had in April...

  2. The only thing, that bugs me a bit, is that the author claims on his website that he has worked for 12 years (!!!) as a Blender trainer for companys, schools and universities...
...that's actually longer than Blender has officially been OpenSource.

Anyway, good luck with your course!

    • I've been using blender since 1999, started with Blender 1.65. That's 14 years. Blender was freeware before it went open source.

      • Really it was FREEware?! I thought it was used as an in-house software for NaN-Technologies. Seems like I got this wrong - thank you for the heads-up! :)

        Kind regards!
