Trailer: Ruach

2

Mauricio Pampin presents the trailer to his short film.

Mauricio writes:

Ruach is a mantra I use for meditation. In Hebrew it means wind, breath, mind or spirit. My film is an exploration of both spiritual and existential aspects of human life. It is a process-based animated short that I completed in my studies at Emily Carr University in Vancouver. I am intrigued by the world, its mythology, and also the theories of science that attempt to explain it.

Ruach is my first film. I used blender for almost all the 3d elements and animation. Two scenes were done using Maya but the rest was done with blender. Compositing was done mostly in after effects but I did use the compositor in blender and also Nuke in some shots.
I can't share the full film at the moment since I am submitting it to festivals this year but, I still wanted to share the trailer with the blender community. The film was well received by my university and I'm hoping it does well on the festival circuit!

Thanks to all for the great community and all the developers great job!

  1. While this is visually beautiful, it is yet another "trailer" for a movie that tells you nothing about what the movie is about.

Please, for all you folks making your own flicks, create a trailer that actually clues you into what the movie is going to be about. Make want to see your movie. Thank you.
