There is now a Blender section on Stack Exchange. At first glance, this is similar to a forum where people ask questions. Stack Exchange really excels in floating up the best answers though - people vote for the best replies, and this helps future visitors to quickly find the information they need. Give it a try!

About the Author
Bart Veldhuizen
I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Also a note, this is not exactly a *forum* per say for those used to BlenderArtists, IRC etc, we don't do discussions, just direct answers to questions asked. See http://meta.blender.stackexchange.com/questions/113/why-use-blender-stack-exchange-over-blender-artist .Anyone is welcome and anything Blender is on-topic. :) Thanks for the feature.
You should also link to "What not to ask here"
it's not "per say", many english speaking people make this mistake.
The correct expression is "per se" latin phrase meaning "by itself" and pronounced without the last "y" or "ee" sound.
been doing this for years and nobody ever corrected me. ;) thanks.
If you read the text, it says that it is "similar to a forum".
That's Bart's text. Any StackExchange site is most certainly _not_ a forum - they were created to provide a resource without the noise of a conventional forum. Read this: http://meta.blender.stackexchange.com/questions/113/why-use-blender-stack-exchange-over-blender-artist
So... you finally reported it. Thanks.
I don't get what the objection was in the first place, to be honest!
Am I the only one that finds this site a precious resource?!
Thank you very much for this great tool.
Not at all, personally I too think it's really a resource.
the principle is very good, the search stack exchange is very responsive and very relevant answers. it's cool to find answers quickly. thank you
But who will be the jonskeet of blender stack exchange?
Oh wow, that's amazing! I sure hope, this SE becomes succuessful enough to leave beta status.
Does Stack Exchange accept questions regarding changes between Blender versions, such as "Can't find equivalent in Blender 2.6x for feature y which was supported in Blender 2.4x, does it still exist?"
That should be just fine.
