Who am I ?

I took the old and new generation video games, readjusting to the low-poly look for a different look.

  1. Nice! Gaming and 3D art in one sitting. I recognized them all! (Played just about all of them, too.) Nice visual style, by the way. I esp. liked the Donkey Kong. :)

  2. Is the green guy with a sword and a shield... from "Legend of Zelda"? :)
I like some of them very much... But isn't Kirby a star actually? :)
Add more apples of eyes (I mean "centers".. not sure it's right in English) , dude! :D

    • Why are you surprised? Blender Internal is a mature and fully functional renderer, Cycles isn't, IMHO. I love both, but even knowing that most of things that I expect from Cycles are already there and them are done in a complete different way than in BI (so it's only an issue about learning another way to do something), I think there's still some things that are much more comfortable to do in BI. Say for example everything related to shadeless materials or other tricks that you could do with a later compositing phase in mind.
On the other side, it seems to be people who thinks that just for the sake of using Cycles is going to make a great image, but they fall in all the classic lighting problems of any newbie in this area instead. In these cases, I think that BI is a great companion to learn the basics, because I think the lamp parameters are just more predictable than in Cycles.
      Just my opinion.

      • I was just thinking that Cycles is much easier to work with because its realistic lighting often gives you the desired effect with much less effort than BI. If you're an expert with BI than some specific shots might be easier to achieve, but in general I believe Cycles is the best and easiest choice.

        That's my $0.02

I thinks for low poly I not need of Cycle for have this style of pictur
and maybe for simple scenes, blender render is faster I think.
