MinnBUG meeting April 7th

Blenderheads in Minneapolis are meeting next week.

For the longest time I’ve meant to learn how to code. I get a ways into some course and then, too easily, it falls to the wayside. (I know I’m not the only one.)
Well, no more! The upcoming MinnBUG meetup is April 7th, 1-4pm and it’s all about:
Python!
We’ll get the ball rolling with a Skype-In with Solarlune. The creator of several very useful Blender add-ons, two awesome games, and 6400+ posts on Blenderartists.org, Solarlune will be talking Blender Game Engine, the importance of coding/scripting in Blender, and taking questions.
After that, we’ll introduce the MinnBUG Codecademy group, a place to learn python or improve your python skills alongside other MinnBUG members. This will be a way to discuss python, get feedback, and keep people (like me) encouraged and learning.
Finally, we’ll have a basic introduction to the Blender API and get our hands dirty by using python to solve a simple problem in the game engine, one that cannot be handled by logic bricks.
Should be a good time all around. As always, it’s open to everyone. Hope to see you there!

Can’t be done with logic bricks alone? Sounds intriguing.
