I saw a few comments recently that made me realize that it's not clear how you can add a profile picture to your BlenderNation profile. Like many other blogs, we're using a service called Gravatar to link your email address to your profile image. Just register there (for free, of course) and upload your image. The nice thing about Gravatar is that it makes it easy to change your profile picture everywhere at once. Enjoy :)

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Just changed my Gravatar and then this post pops up. Oh, synchronicity... you follow me round like a lost dog.

Yeah, I was wondering when other folks would catch on to.using Gravatar. Just makes life easier when you're the same identity when commenting on various blogs. And plus, people start to recognize your Gravatar when you comment quite frequently like I myself tend to do and some visit your own blog(s) more. It's almost like free networking made every time you comment.
Of course, it helps when you remember to fill out your website info again (don't know why mine disappeared, but here's hoping it's back).
Now all I have to do is remember my Gravatar account details so I can change my biography to something else, considering that the one I have right now was one I made when I was like, 11.

Great, now I have to go create some custom art for my avatar....

I can't see it yet.. Did you register it properly on Gravatar?
