  1. One of the tutorial statements contradicts the official Blender user manual. The tutorial says "always use only Bezier circle, because NURBS Circle have no perfect circular shape." This is contradicted by a quote taken directly from the manual, "For example a Bézier circle is a polynomial approximation of a circle, and this approximation is noticeable, whereas a NURBS circle is exactly a circle."

    One of these is not right. They can't both be right!

  2. Well, to test it out, I created a circle in SVG then converted to JPG. Used that as a background image, created both a NURB and Bezier Circle. The Bezier Circle followed the image circle whereas the NURB Circle was flatted on four sides. So whereas in other software maybe a NURB is a perfect circle, it appears in Blender that a Bezier is more perfect. :)

    • Wow. That's a pretty big flaw! Maybe issues like this are what is holding up Nurbana development. I always did get the impression that it was a bigger struggle than it had to be to get things shaped right, but I was never able to verify it. I wonder how the other companies get more accurate results. I do seem to be going to other softwares more and more when I want some good accurate nurb surface boolean cross-sections without pushing a lot of control points after the fact.

    • No, I think the non-uniform refers to additional flexibility... looks like it's a Blender-specific implementation bug.

  3. Very Cool,
    these tutorials can better learn how to deal with the form you want to get.
    Besides human body and faces,is much better to learn the tool *Blender.
