Pumpkin Projection

7

Ron Proctor uses Blender for a pumpkin projection.

Ron writes:

While taking a break from Blender-based planetarium show production (see the latest), I thought I'd try a little surface projection.

Here's my first in-situ test. I've got more work to do, but I thought I'd share the idea now, in case any Blendheads are looking for something to do this week. ^_^

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. The bummer is you have to have all that gear sitting right in front of the pumpkins for it to work. So it looses the flair. Would be cool if you could rig the projector out of the way some so people don't immediately realize what's going on ... but hey, I don't even own a projector so ...
