This is a visualisation of an OpenFOAM fluid dynamics simulation.

TotalSim have been working with UKSport and British Cycling since 2005 providing aerodynamic and CFD consultancy. The movie is a DES CFD simulation created from an athlete scan.
This is a CFD (Computation Fluid Dynamics) simulation of a cyclist using a DES modelling technique conducted by the CFD Consultancy, TotalSim. The movie was rendered in Blender 2.63 and is shown with the kind permission of UKSport. The movie contains approximately 600 frames and shows approximately 1 seconds worth of flow data. The geometry of the athlete was obtained from a laser scan and then run in CFD. The simulation took over 3000 core-hours to calculate using the open source CFD solver OpenFOAM.

His wheels are spinning, but he's not going any place. No wonder he's on fire.
Is there any more info on this? As an aerospace engineering student, this kind of visualization interests me greatly. Any chance there's a procedure for transferring the CFD results to blender?
That´s great. Is there a possibility to see a tutorial for this?
Hi, i'm trying to use blender as a pre-processing interface for openFOAM. where i can find the packeges for addons CFD model in blender 2.68?
thank you
