Hi, I'm Heri Kurniawan

I'm from Indonesia.
I made a short film using Blender and here is the trailer.

One noon, Madam Darmi left her train and while waiting in Sukabrantah, she meets an annoying stranger with a pack of Sukun Chip. Keripik Sukun Mbok Darmi (Madam Darmi's Sukun Chip) is a short animation movie for final year project in School of Animation, Binus University.

Coming soon on Fresh n' Brite 2012, October 12-14, 2012. Kota Kasablanka, Kuningan. Jakarta.

Done using Blender 3D, Adobe Photoshop & AfterEffect.

Music by Wieteke Van Dort & Carol Khaoli

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. It's really promising. I want you to notice two things that bother me, but I do not have any bad feeling, just beholder impressions.
The megaphone has no thickness, or has too low thickness. I think it is not a matter of style and can "disturb" the beholder.
The teeth seem to appear from the palate during snoring (look at the second snoring).

  2. We haven't seen a lot from this trailer, but for me the attention to ambient sound and unique design gives the short a strong start. Here's hoping the story and animation itself to be as appealing.

If you will, please release it online soon, Heri :)
