Sketchfab Blender Exporter

10

On-line 3D model viewer Sketchfab has made it easier to upload Blender projects by providing a Blender add-on. With this add-on (by Bart Crouch) you can upload your file from within Blender. Sweet coding!

Sketchfab writes:

Big news for our blender users: thanks to Bart Crouch, we now have a blender exporter, which means you can upload your models directly from within blender to Sketchfab with a single click.
Features

  • 1-click uploading
  • Api Key is stored, so only needs to be entered once
  • Uploading is done in the background, so you can continue using Blender

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

    •  Hi Kirill,
Sketchfab uses WebGL and is made to display 3D real time without the need of flash. You can use it to show and share 3D models. The viewer can easily be embedded on any web page. Feel free to contact @sketchfab:twitter   if you need more info.
